San Isidro Museum
"I love this museum because it traces Madrid’s origins from prehistory, and part of it was once the home of the city’s patron saint."

Dating back to the 16th century, the San Isidro Museum is in the former home of San Isidro, the patron saint of Madrid. The collection dives into Madrid’s history, starting with the Paleolithic area and going through the Roman and Islamic periods until the 16th century. It’s an interesting look into the city’s development through the cultures that helped shape it. The museum is free every day.
