City Wide, Madrid

"Buy a carnation and a parpusa (a traditional hat), and if you're an adventurous eater, try an entresijos or gallinejas (fried lamb entrails) sandwich."
Madrid holds a big festival each spring on May 15th and the days leading up to honor its patron saint, San Isidro. Events occur all over the city, but the action takes place in Pradera de San Isidro. Enjoy foods typical of the festival while watching madrileños dress in traditional clothing and dance chotis, a cultural dance. Free events happen in other spots in the city, like Plaza Mayor and Las Vistillas.
