Phung Son Temple

"An ancient Buddhist temple with historical significance and serene surroundings."
This Buddhist temple in District 1 was completed in the early 19th century. It was built upon structures that date back to the Funan period, or the first centuries AD. The temple is heavily gilded and has more than 40 wooden statues on-site, in addition to a number of ritual objects. The front doors are usually locked, but the side entrance is open during prayer times.
