Kypseli, Athens

"One of Athens' oldest parks, filled with history and large green spaces. It’s not as touristy as the National Garden, but it holds a special charm for me. I like walking through it on a lazy Sunday afternoon, with the occasional glimpse of local life."
At Pedion tou Areos, there are two grand sculptures to see: the ‘Statue Of Athena’ and the massive equestrian statue of King Constantine I of Greece. Apart from these, there’s an outdoor gym at this public park. Local yoga classes also take place here. This green space is less busy than some of the others, offering a relaxing reprieve. Every so often, local markets are set up within Protomagia Square.
