Nikko is 160 kilometers north of Tokyo. Due to its natural surroundings, shrines, and temples, the Japanese consider it a sacred place. Nikko National Park has mountains, waterfalls, hot springs, lakes, and even wild monkeys. It’s especially beautiful in the fall when the leaves change color; the best time to visit is between early October and mid-November.
