Miragaia, Porto

"The “Louvre Museum” of Porto, this 18th-century palace is my favorite museum for art, sculpture, and paintings."
This art museum in the Miragaia neighborhood is inside the historic 18th-century Carrancas Palace, Portugal's oldest palace. It has an extensive collection of Portuguese art from the 19th and 20th centuries, such as paintings, sculptures, and ceramics. Because of the art collection and the building itself, it's the most distinguished museum in Porto. General tickets are €8, with youth and child discounts available, but entrance is free on Sundays.
