Supposedly, Multiforo Alicia got its name from Alice in Wonderland and an Italian independent radio station from the 1960s. Whether or not that's true is unknown, but what is a fact is that Multiforo Alicia has been a Mexico City alternative music hub since it opened in 1995. At Eligio Ancona 145 Santa María La Ribera, this cultural center doesn't just host live music concerts — it also has lectures, poetry readings, and film screenings on the second floor occasionally.
