Albaicín, Granada

"The iconic sunset view of the Alhambra framed by Sierra Nevada peaks."
All great things take a little effort, just like the San Nicolás viewpoint, also known as Mirador de San Nicolás. Overseeing the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Alhambra, there’s a steep-ish hill you have to walk up to get here. It’s situated in Albaicín. Photographers especially love this particular mirador, and many of those iconic city shots of the Alhambra are snapped from here, so it gets crowded. If you’re not keen on tackling the cobbled pathways to the top, local buses and taxis transport eager visitors here. Sunset vistas don’t get any better.
