6th arrondissement, Paris

"The oldest café in Paris. Classic dishes in a place full of history."
Introducing Paris’ oldest-standing cafe — officially. Procope swung open its doors in the year 1868, and it has stood the test of time ever since. Of course, it’s very much about the food (all traditional, bourgeois French style), yet it’s undoubtedly the pure history of this place, and the people that have sat here before you, that give you the biggest goosebumps of all. It’s situated on a cobbled street surrounded by many other cafes and bars, and the interiors reflect its timestamp in the best way. Walls are lined with photographs, and you’ll love the grand carpeted staircase.
