"This festival commemorates a God of the village who saved a princess from a water monster. In this festival, you will see snake dancing, a fish catching ceremony, and see local culture first hand."
Hanoi Local

Le Mat is a village 10 kilometers outside the city center with a long history of catching and farming snakes. Snake-catching secrets are passed from generation to generation, ensuring young Vietnamese remember these traditional snake meat dishes. From March 20th to 24th, village residents celebrate their ancestors by making offerings and dancing the traditional bamboo snake dance. Visitors can learn more about snake-catching secrets and even try this unique dish themselves.
