La Dehesa de la Villa

This wooded park on the northwest side of Madrid has a variety of trees, making it great for birdwatching. In fact, more than 70 species of birds live here. Besides different trees, fruit-bearing shrubs and trees like plums, blackberries, and almonds also grow here. The park has paths for walking and biking, as well as kiosks that sell refreshments. Look closely and you'll find stone blocks once used to mark water channels in ancient times.
