"An old-school bar where the bomba—one of the few tapas invented in Barcelona—was born."
Barcelona Local

La Cova Fumada is one of Barcelona's most famous tapas bars because it invented the bomba: a deep-fried ball of mashed potatoes and ground meat slathered in aioli and a spicy sauce. It’s located in Barceloneta and has a nice variety of tapas. No reservations are accepted, and it’s open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, and closed on Sunday.
