El Jardín Botánico de la Universidad de Valencia originated from an orchard used for botanical studies lessons in the 16th century. While the garden has evolved, today it boasts around 3000 tree and plant species, including an impressive collection of palm trees, tropical shrubs, and desert flora. For a general entry fee of €3 (free for age six and under, students with I.D., and retired persons).
