For anyone unfamiliar with traditional Eastern Mediterranean desserts from Greece and Turkey, I Prigipos will help you out. Specializing in “Politika” classics (sweets brought over by immigrants to Greece, especially from the Middle East), the bakery was established in 1983. Must-try desserts include saragli (a type of rolled baklava), kazandibi (caramelized milk pudding), galaktoboureko (crispy, layered phyllo), baklava, and ekmek kataifi (a three-layered dessert). FYI: their loukoumades are only available on Sundays.
