"This architectural gem, built in 1916, was once a hospital and now serves as a government office. Its striking design is a lesser-known marvel of Madrid."

Madrid Local

Hospital de Maudes was built in 1916 as a hospital for the working class. In 1970, the use of the building as a hospital ceased, and in 1984, the Community of Madrid took it over. Now, the facility houses administrative offices, a church, and what used to be hospital nursing units. The building complex is an architectural marvel known for its octagonal central patio.
