One week before Easter, Holy Week begins. It’s also known as Easter Week, and lasts seven days, ending on Easter Sunday. It’s centered around the resurrection of Jesus Christ, but it’s another one of Granada’s festivals that welcomes everyone. One of the most exciting parts is a street parade when the gigantic float (called a ‘paso’) descends through the city streets. Children especially love this part of it. Extra important days include Palm Sunday and Holy Wednesday with its procession of the Gypsies.
