According to archaeological evidence, Gaudix is one of the oldest human settlements in Spain, dating to prehistoric times. For this reason, its caves are fascinating and a real highlight, transporting you back in time. Visit the Guadix Caves Visitor Centre and the Baños Árabes Hammam Kabir (thermal baths built in one of the caves). The 18th-century Guadix Cathedral is another landmark highlight. Whilst here, it's worth checking out Baza village — 30 minutes from Gaudix.
