"Built between the two World Wars, this beautiful mosque is open for a small fee. Stop by the tea room for mint tea and pastries—an exotic yet local Sunday hangout."

Paris Local

Built in the early 1920s, this Moorish Revival landmark was a tribute to Muslim soldiers who fought in WWI. Locals and tourists visit to admire the 108-foot minaret, mosaic tiles, and manicured gardens outside. Inside, there is a prayer room, library, and cafe. It is a popular place to have lunch, especially on weekends. You will often find Parisians enjoying mint tea and dishes like tagine and couscous in a comfortable dining area.
