Sants, Barcelona

"Like the Gràcia festivals, but in a smaller, less crowded and more local format. A must if you are here between the third and fourth week of August."
The Sants neighborhood celebrates its street festival in late August each year. It honors Saint Bartholomew, the neighborhood's patron saint. Expect decorated streets and plazas, live music, dancing, community meals featuring local cuisine, and family-friendly activities. Be sure to check out uniquely Catalan aspects of the festival, like the fiery correfoc displays or the dancing gegants that take over the streets. Like any street party in Barcelona, you’ll find activities that run through the day and well into the night.
