Centro, Granada

"Step back in time in the Cuarto Real de Santo Domingo, whose Nasrid qubba was built even before the palaces of the Alhambra you can visit now. This intimate space offers an extraordinary glimpse into the refined world of medieval Granada."
A former palace constructed when the ancient Nasrid city was still very much alive, all that remains of Cuarto Real de Santo Domingo is a tower connected to an antiquated wall. Built before Alhambra was even a thing, it formed part of the Great Almanjarra Gardens. Today, it’s the only royal almunia (an orchard/estate) left in the city. The Qubba hosts the Exhibition Hall with temporary expos, and the grounds are used for cultural events. It’s in the El Realejo neighbourhood.
