Yurakucho, Tokyo

"Located in a cave-like space under the elevated tracks, this relaxing spot is a favorite stop for businessmen on their way home."
Chikaro is an izakaya in Yurakucho dating back to 1963. It’s inside a cave-like space underneath the elevated train tracks that can be tricky to spot if you don’t know what you’re looking for. Many business people in the area stop here on their way home to enjoy a drink and chat in a friendly atmosphere. Note that Chikaro does not accept electronic payment methods, and smoking is allowed in the bar.
