"The imposing 18th-century building that houses the Portuguese Center of Photography once served as a courthouse and prison until Portugal's transition to democracy in 1974. Its architectural layout reflects the social hierarchy of the time."

This museum in Miragaia is located inside an 18th-century building with an interesting history. It was built in 1767 and served as a courthouse and prison. To enter the museum, you have to pass through iron gates. Once inside, you can browse the collections of cameras and photography equipment — all in jail cells. The espionage cameras are some of the most interesting things to see.
