This classic taberna is tucked into a tiny plaza in the maze-like streets of Barrio Santa Cruz. It opened in 1868 as a grocery and then as a tavern in 1934. Not much has changed since then when it comes to the food and atmosphere, as both are quite traditional. Looking around, you’ll see locals snacking on plates of Spanish ham while drinking a caña (small beer). It’s no-frills food, but it’s as authentic as it gets.
