Centro, Granada

"Step inside a 16th-century palace transformed into a museum devoted to Granada’s stories and legends. Casa de los Tiros offers a fascinating window into the city’s literary and popular traditions with a beautiful ceramic collection."
Translating to ‘House of the Shots’ Museum, it garners the name due to all the cannons let off during battle time back in the day. The original building was part of a military defense wall. Within is a museum, where local antiquities are displayed. These range from writing excerpts to porcelain to chinaware, furniture, paintings, photographs, fabrics, newspaper clippings, and more. Three tours are available. One of the various museum rooms and levels, and the second is a thematic/purely chronological artwork tour. The third tour option is a building visit focusing on its architecture.
