"A unique celebration of the Saint John Festival, featuring plenty of rituals and traditions."
Witness a spectacle of tradition every June 24, at the annual Bugiadas e Mouriscadas festival in Sobrado village (which takes place in Valongo municipality, a short 16-minute drive from Porto). Also known as the Festival of Saint John of Sobrado, the streets become a flurry of traditional costumes, masks, dancing, and marching. The performances represent both Moorish and Christian dances. This is a fantastic option if you’re looking for something extra authentic.
