Commissioned by Saint Ambrose, Milan’s patron saint, the church was consecrated in the 4th century. The current structure dates back over 1,000 years, featuring a magnificent interior and exterior. Highlights include breathtaking mosaics in the apse and the San Vittore in Ciel d’Oro Chapel, along with the silver main altar, a rare masterpiece from the 9th century AD.
