Porto

"I always enjoy visiting Aveiro, which feels like an open-air museum thanks to its many buildings beautifully adorned with colorful tiles."
Aveiro is Portugal’s version of Venice. It’s on a saltwater lagoon on the Ria de Aveiro, about an hour south of Porto by car or public transportation. You’ll see colorful Moliceiros boats on the canals, intricately decorated Art Nouveau buildings, and azulejos tiles on the walls. You can visit Costa Nova Beach, try an ovos moles egg yolk pastry, or take a boat ride on the river.
