With another more traditional-style taverna on Themistokleous 2 pedestrian street, Athinaikon on Mitropoleos Street is a slightly more elevated dining experience than its counterpart, housed in a gorgeous building that resembles a sort of grand hotel entrance. Its Greek and Mediterranean menu highlights meat-centric dishes in particular, but you can also enjoy an array of seafood. There is an entire cheese section to indulge in, paired perfectly with a bunch of appetizers and a glass of Moët.
